Into The Darkness

Hard rain out on the road.

verything can’t be taught, like making pictures that look like this one. It’s simple enough to do, but would you?

It’s one of my classic drive by, or better yet, a drive through picture. I used to do this a lot but I think that my hand – eye coordination is lacking a little these days. When I made this photograph I was at my prime.

Not anymore.

In the last week two legends retired. Sean Payton, the former coach of the New Orleans and Tom Brady know as the GOAT — the greatest of all time. He was a quarterback who lead both of his teams to victory in The Super Bowl — seven times. I’ll leave all his statistics for some other sports page.

Sometimes you just know when it’s time to go.

Given the technical and photo hurdles I’ve cleared in the past ten days are way too much. Maybe it’s the universe trying to tell me something, trying to get me to listen.

An old friend of mine used to say, ” Do the next indicated thing.” Sorting out the signs and symbols is hard. But, I don’t need to be beaten over the head and shoulders forever.

I’ll get it eventually.

I really like your concluding statement, “I’ll get it eventually.” I think sometimes I’m too quick to put an end to a question and I may move forward on a decision without the necessary wait. I get weary of the indecision and just jump. Maybe slowing down and acknowledging the answers will come in good time is a good way to avoid a hasty decision that isn’t always best. I am indeed sorry, however, for your very frustrating experiences!

What I really meant was that the universe is trying to tell me something and I’m not listening. If I listen I’ll do what I know is right.
