here’s lot going on in the world today. Most of it isn’t good. But, things can turn on a dime.
I had to laugh when Lindsay Graham went on a whining rant and walked out of the supreme court justice confirmation hearings. I also had to smile after reading the the Ukrainians had held the Russian to about the top of their invasion tide.
On the other hand, we had a huge tornado rip through the little suburb of Arabi, part of St. Bernard Parish and The Lower Ninth Ward.
With social media those of us who weren’t involved got to watch it live. Those neighborhoods are still trying to sort out what they need. Some people will need a lot. Mercifully, so far there is only one known death.
As bad as it could have been, it wasn’t. In a way that is also worth smiling about.
And, the weather. Yesterday it was warm and humid. That’s to be expected when a storm like this is headed our way. Today, the weather is cool, dry and wonderful. More smiles.
