Different

Icy blue in the spring.

T

hese pictures were made earlier in spring. But, it’s hot so I thought publishing something cool would be a a cool idea.

See what I did?

Pictures? Yeah, there are two. I’ll discuss that next door in the right hand column. You know, I’ll write on the right.

Oh God, not again.

Summer in most of the country has turned into hell. Everywhere is hot, at least some of the time. Much of the country is in drought conditions. Some locations have been in that condition for years. Lakes are drying up. Bodies are being found in what was a lake.

I saw a picture of an egg frying on the trunk lid of a car. We use to say it was hot enough to fry an egg on the street, but that was just talk. Now it isn’t.

Where am I headed?

Climate change. I was listening to a podcast that is nominally about technology and finance. The conversation centered around with so many problems in the world what should come first?

Climate change.

That drives everything else. If you think about it, that’s completely true. Please think about it with me. And, tell me what you think.

Happy Monday.

P

ictures? The image is layered. There are two pictures that are layered more precisely than usual.

Both of them are flower photographs. You can see a bit of the base image near the top.

Once I positioned them in a way that made sense, I started working on the color. Both pictures were bluish or slightly violet.

You can see the colors in this picture.

Then, I softened the whole thing.

I was done.

At least with this image.
