Cold, Cold, Cold

Montreal in the winter.

C

old, cold, cold
Cold, cold, cold
Freezing, it was freezing in that hotel
I had no money, my special friend was gone
The TV set was busted so she went along
I called room, room service,
I’m down here on my knees
A peach or a pear, or a coconut please,
But they was cold

Lyrics to the song “Cold, Cold, Cold” — Lowell George/Little Feet from the album Sailin’ Shoes – 1972

I made this picture during my trip to frozen Montreal to fix problems in a book. Apparently, the weather warmed up a bit because the street looks wet, not frozen. But, it was cold.

So cold.

In many ways, it was fun. That sounds weird, but as Jimmy Buffett once wrote, “we do it for the stories we can tell.” Lot’s of tales about that trip. This one of them.

Happy Monday. Ugh.
