
Look up, look down, look behind you, look everywhere. I always suggest that to new photographers. You’ve read it here about sunsets. Sure, go ahead and photograph it, but turn around and see what that wonderful sunlight is illuminating.
I looked up.
That’s the ceiling of a gentrified former factory building. The light golden wood is the ceiling of a cupola with windows all around. The blue strip is actually the sky. The hardest part of making this picture was making sure the lines were fairly lined up.
The really cool thing about the picture is there was almost no work to do in post production. Talk about photographer’s luck. This isn’t that. This is photographer’s delight.
