I don’t know why, last night of all nights, musical miss thought I needed to hear this story.
When Ringo Starr went to see and say goodbye to George Harrison in Switzerland where George was so sick from cancer that he could not sit up, Ringo spent some time with him but apologized because he had to leave for Boston where his own daughter was undergoing brain cancer surgery.
George’s very last words to Ringo were,
“Do you want me to come?”

Musical miss’ dad was George’s best friend. He was there though the end. You’ll figure it out. We’ll be in California tomorrow. My first wife passed yesterday one day after her 69th birthday.

Oh my, Ray. You’ve had some heavy hitting losses. I’m really so sorry. I hope your trip to CA was not too fraught with the tension of travel woes! And 69 is too young. 💔
