Bring The World

Music and colors.

Some advice. Be careful.

I started reading a friend’s project. I wanted to learn if I could help her price the workshop properly. It’s a lot of work if you work it right.

There’s an extension about understanding what you want to do. What might complete you. What might make you happy. And, to start now. Right now, As, in this moment. But, first you have to know what you want.

That’s just about it for me.

In order to achieve certain things you have to have talent.

It started by thinking about the late Jeff Back. By all accounts, including mine, he was one of the best guitar players of the modern era, probably second only to Jimi Hendrix. How good? He worked with no sound modifiers using just his fingers and the whammy bar.

How good? During one tour he got tired of carrying stuff so he picked up gear wherever he could and played. So much for all of the specialty guitar mods, eh?

So, that’s it for me.

I don’t want to play guitar. I want to be who I am. But, I don’t think I have the talent. Some people get better at what they do be working at it. That’s getting better, not getting great.

Great.

What a hoot.

I really admired Beck’s talent, and another “too soon” loss. I was able to see him perform at the Hollywood Bowl just a very few years back, and I am really glad that I can have that memory.

We’ve seen him a number of times over the years, I always liked his sensibilities. After hearing Hendrix for the first his words were well I better go home and practice.

It’s a cool musical legacy realized when then Beck inspires others to practice, and so on. Amazing talent.
