Out On The Street

You know that I like working at around dusk, when the blue light is really blue. You also know that I like motion blur. So, when I stumbled upon a woman walking in The French Quarter at th right time of day I had only one choice, make photographs. Happening upon this scene at the right time was luck.

How did I do it? Luckily, I can walk and chew gum at the same time. While some scenes can be exposed on auto, this one needs a manual exposure setting. Start with f5.6 and set the shutter speed from there. This looks to me like 1/4 of a second. Keep pace with the subject and push the button.
